Alegría Counseling is Open!

Dear Friends and Future Clients,

Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to Alegría Counseling, a space where joy is an act of resistance. My name is Paulina, and I specialize in helping women and femme-identifying adults who grapple with the myriad pressures of society, family, relationships, and the workplace. Alegría, meaning "joy" in Spanish, isn't just a name; it's a philosophy and a testament to the incredible possibilities within all of us, individually and collectively.

As I sit working on this announcement, the day of the autumnal equinox, a day where there is almost a perfect balance between light and dark, I can’t help but reflect on the seemingly contradicting emotions I have breathing life into Alegria Counseling. I am excited, I feel celebratory, encouraged, grounded, and ready, so ready. I also feel vulnerable, anxious, and, at times, overwhelmed. And that’s just how things go, huh? So what do we do? We keep it movin’.

We move forward with courage, intention, reflection, moments of rest, and the support of our community.

My mission at Alegría is simple: to provide a space for you to work through the things that may be holding you back from experiencing the joy you deserve. At Alegría, authenticity is not only welcomed; it's celebrated. The intention is rooted in your well-being and growth, not in pursuing some unattainable perfection.

While I balance the emotions of what this big step brings, one thing is for sure: I’m grateful you’re here.
